The menu is entirely seed oil-free, using only olive and coconut oils in cooking—a rare and important distinction for inflammation-conscious eaters. Their ingredients are organic, unprocessed, and additive-free, with a strong Mediterranean and West Coast influence. Every dish is clearly marked for dietary needs, including gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free options. The vibe is chic & inspiring yet approachable, perfect for health enthusiasts who don’t want to sacrifice taste for integrity.

Carrot Express delivers flavor-packed meals using fresh ingredients, with clear labels for gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options. While not fully seed oil-free, several locations now offer olive oil–based dressings and cooking options upon request.
Try: Mario’s Bowl (delicious & healthier fried rice), Tuna poke bowl, Avo Tuna Melt, Oriental Crunch Salad, Salmon Buddha Bowl, and don’t skip on the plain tostones!

Sweetgreen

📍 Coral Gables, Wynwood, Coconut Grove | Dine in & Take Out
Why Go: If you’re craving something as close as to that homemade meal you didn’t have time to make, this one is for you. Known nationally for its fully transparent, farm-to-bowl model, Sweetgreen emphasizes seasonal ingredients and house-made dressings (many are olive oil–based). The menu is fully customizable, and most bowls can be made gluten- and dairy-free. While not fully seed-oil-free, they do offer seed oil–free dressing options.
Try: The Shroomami Bowl or Guacamole Greens—both great choices when customized with olive oil + lemon dressing. Add roasted sweet potato or wild rice for clean carbs.

Sha’s pick: Cabbage Slaw! Custom bowl: arugula & mixed greens, cucumbers, pickled onions, cabbage slaw, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, roasted chicken, mushrooms, olive oil-lemon-& balsamic vinegar.


Motek Café

📍 Coral Gables, Aventura, Downtown Miami | Dine in & Take Out
Why Go: If you love Mediterranean food that nourished your body and heart, try Motek! This modern Israeli café blends traditional Mediterranean flavors with a wellness spin. This is one of my favorite lunch spots! While not exclusively clean, Motek offers naturally gluten- and dairy-free dishes using real ingredients. Most mezze and mains can be customized, and many items are grilled or baked with olive oil rather than fried. You can always ask your server to kindly cook your food with olive oil. 
Try: The Lamb shawarma, Israeli salad, all the mezzes, shashuka, chicken shawarma bowl, chicken schnitzel, and hummus.

Sha’s pick: Baby lamb chops, crunchy cabbage salad


Joe & The Juice

📍 Brickell, South Beach, Aventura & more | Dine in & Take Out
Why Go: We all know Joe, your pop of pink trusted friend, anywhere in the world- it delivers wellness in a cup or an aroma indulging delicious pressed panini. A go-to for fresh juices, smoothies, and quick snacks, Joe & The Juice is perfect for a wellness-minded pick-me-up. Their juices are cold-pressed to order, and many smoothies can be made with plant-based milk and no sweeteners. Their sandwiches are the perfect flat crisp of protein, and they have a GF version for any restrictions.
Try: The Green Shield juice (kale, cucumber, spinach, and broccoli) the Spicy Tuna Sandwich, or the Power Shake with almond milk and no banana. Add plant protein for an extra boost.

Sha’s pick: I love everything spirulina, so my go to is Unicorn tears and the Tunacado Sandwich!

  • Fresh Market: Excellent selection of clean, organic, and grass-fed products.
  • Whole Foods: If you can buy organic, Whole Foods offers a wide selection of organic produce. I like their wild-caught seafood, grass-fed beef, and organic seasonal greens.
  • Glaser Organic Farms (Coconut Grove Farmers Market) – For raw, organic, handmade goods.
  • Eataly: Great seafood! Make sure its wild-caught!
